Denver Zoo

Derek had to go to Witchita, Kansas for work last week and while he was gone if the boys were good we would be able to go to the zoo on Saturday. There were pretty good so we made good with our promise and went to the zoo. We had a lot of fun and Sunday we found out that Grandpa was at the zoo too with some of his students. He was on the other side so we never saw him. We got a membership so expect a lot of pictures from the zoo.

Lizzie and Julia
Lizzie is 6 months old!
I can't believe how time is flying. Lizzie is already 6 months. About 3 weeks ago she had croop and we had to take her to the doctor. They gave her a steroid and the cough got better but she is still coughing. She is such a little trooper. She also is having problems again with her tummy. She is eating rice cereal and applesauce but that is it other than the formula; so I am not sure what she might be allergic to. She was crying throughout Sunday school and Relief Society at church on Sunday. I was telling everyone that I think she is going to be a singer because she can cry so loud. Yet, she is still so cute and still sleeps well. Her eyes have really gotten more blue and her hair lighter blond. This picture, although blurry, shows her blue eyes. She actually looks alot like her cousin Elsie on Derek's side of the family.

Lizzie is almost 5 months old!

On Monday Lizzie will be exactly 5 months old already! It is so funny how it seems like she is growing so quickly and this whole cancer thing has been going so slowly. It feels like she was just born and I have been dealing with this cancer forever. At least that part is almost over and things are looking well. Lizzie is such a great daughter. She sleeps through the whole night every night. She loves to stand on her little feet instead of bend her knees. She also loves to sit in her Lion Heart seat and her bouncer thing. She can even almost sit up on her own for 5 seconds before falling over. She focuses on everyone's face and she really smiles and moves her whole body when she is happy. At her 4 month appointment she was 15 lbs which is 75% for girls and around 28" in hieght which is 90% and her head is 80%; so she is a wonderfully big baby. But hey at least it helps her sleep through the night so well. I will have to post pictures later since I have no recent ones on this laptop.

Bounce!

The boys have a marble jar for the good things that they do; and they filled it to the prize jar. So on the 29th we were able to do something fun with them that they chose. It was going to Bounce! a indoor inflatable jumping place. It took me forever after Bounce to find my camera that had these pictures and our Christmas pictures on it. I was worried that someone stole the camera at Bounce. Luckily it was wrapped in Lizzie's coat. The boys absolutely loved it. They jumped for 45 minutes straight and then we went to Sonic and had a typical Child family picnic in the car and then we went back. Well Derek went back with them and I went to get something at a store that was in the same shopping center. It took 25 minutes to park and get to the store and then another 30 at the store waiting in line because there were so many people there. When I got back to the car I could not find a parking space or people leaving to take theirs; so I drove around again for another 30 or 40 minutes until I decided to park in the employee parking behind all of the stores. When I finally got back to Bounce the boys were so tired and there were so many kids there that Isaac bit another kids because he was walking all over him and Ethan wouldn't slide down the big slide so Derek had to go up there and get him, so we went home. Needless to say do not, I repeat do not go to a big shopping area the weekend after Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas

The boys loved Christmas. My friend Nolan came over on Christmas Eve Eve as Santa and they loved it. On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and ate supper as Jesus would have. It was delicious! Then we open our traditional pajama presents and put them on. The boys could wait to go to home to see Santa bringing them presents. We told them that they had to be asleep when Santa came or he would come at all.
When they woke up the next morning it was starting to snow it actually snowed almost all day. We thought we would have to get up early but they actually slept in, close to 8! They both got a lot of construction toys and a Scooby-Doo and Shaggy costume. They put them on immediately!

Christmas Time

I love Christmas! This year has been so much fun watching the boys faces light up when we mention Christmas. I can't wait to see them on the day of. On Saturday our church had a Christmas party and Santa was there; these are the pictures from it.
We are planning on going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas Eve and dressing up like the people in Bethlehem. Ethan wants to be a sheep and Lizzie is going to be one too; Isaac is going to be a Shepard. Mom and Dad are going to be in the most comfortable costumes that are still in line with the theme. Two of Derek's sisters are coming; one has two boys so it's going to be a lot of fun. There are going to be 7 boys and Lizzie!

3 months already!!
Can you believe that Lizzie is already 3 months old!! She is still sleeping really well at night but she is awake a lot of the day now. She also loves to be held when she is awake; which as you know is very difficult. But she is really fun and cute. She is really good at keeping her head off of your shoulder when you try to burp her; yet she still hates tummy time. She loves to watch the ceiling fan turn and smile when you talk to her. I just love the way her whole face lights up when she smiles at you; it really melts your heart.
The boys are having a lot of fun at preschool! They still love Scooby-Doo and they now love the Grinch who stole Christmas. I can't wait until next month when Lizzie starts laughing at them. I'm sure they will love it too since they are both suckers for attention; like all kids.

2 months

As of Sunday Lizzie turned 2 months old. I can't believe how fast time is flying. It seems like once you become a mother and you watch your kids grow the time just vanishes. Lizzie is still such a good baby; although she has her periods that she cries at very inconvenient times! She has already slept through the night at least 5 times (8 hours or more). She is very responsive and gives these great big grins when she is happy or after a diaper change. She smiles with her eyes as well and sometimes does an Elvis lip which is in the last picture. Her eyes are a dark shade of blue right now so who knows what color they will turn out to be. Her hair is still fairly light on top and her eyebrows are still very light; yet her eyelashes are getting darker. She is so much fun to watch sleep because she makes little girlie noises and cute faces all the time.
