Ethan's face update

Ethan's face has slowly gotten worse because of the bruise that formed. He has a black eye as well. We thought this was something that he would like to see when he gets older so here is the documentation.

Ethan's big cheek

We went for a walk last night with our friends before dinner, and Ethan feel running into the house to get his jacket. I didn't realize how badly he had fallen until we were getting ready for bed; his cheek swelled to the size of a golf ball and it is still swollen but now it is bruised as well.

Dexter the Hotdog

On Saturday our church had a Halloween party. The boys had so much fun. Ethan and Isaac were Scrappy Doo (Scooby's nephew) and Shaggy. I was Velma, Derek was Freddy and Lizzie was the Headless Horseman's horse. The hardest thing to find for every one's costume was something for Derek's hair. Since he has a larger than normal head I couldn't use a wig, so I found some yellow hair spray; but since his hair is black it turned his hair green. I didn't get pictures of it though. I even made a costume for Dexter our dog, he is a hotdog.

Putting together the bunk bed

The boys are so excited because last night we put the two beds in their room together to make a bunkbed. Derek put 2 blankets around the bottom bunk to make a fort and now they don't want to leave it.

Visiting Andrew

Birthing class: Derek and I are the first on the left and Ashley and Dave are right next to us.

Isaac and Andrew side by side when Isaac was 10 weeks old.

Ethan and Andrew when they were 1.

Big Hugs

Ethan, Andrew and Isaac with big smiles.

Lizzie and Hudson (Ashley's 2nd son); 10 mths older than Lizzie.

I have a friend named Ashley Koenig; we were friends in college and pregnant buddies together when we were both pregnant with our first (kids) in Fort Collins. We did water aerobics together and the birthing class, in fact she started dating her husband after one of my birthday parties in college. Anyway, she moved to Denver almost 4 years ago and we have rarely seen each other since. It has been 2 years and 3 kids since we have seen each other. On Friday we went down to her house to visit for a while. The boys had so much fun with her son who is the same age, Andrew, that it was like they had always known each other. Hopefully they can always be friends.

Fun times with Halloween Decorations

We grew a few pumpkins in the garden this year, both big and small. The big ones the boys had grown from seeds from a primary activity that they took home seeds that represented planting the seed of the gospel in their hearts. Isaac had to have Spiderman; since he is really into that now, and Ethan made a cat because I saw it in a magazine at one of my many dr. visits last year.

The little ones we made into different halloween animals that the boys love. Isaac loves spiders, that's why he loves spiderman; in fact, we have gotten all of the books that our library has about spiders and spiderman. Ethan's is the cat; he and Isaac LOVE pretending to be cats. Mine is the bat just because I thought it would be fun, and it looks cool.

It finally happened...

I knew as soon as I became a mom that someday I would be faced with a child who stuck something up their nose. Well yesterday was that day. I was driving my kids as well as their friend Mason Renslow to pre-school when all of a sudden in the middle of Hwy 60 Isaac started shouting and Ethan calmly said Isaac has a bead in his nose. I immediately pulled the van over and went to the back where he was. Sure enough a bead from the cub scouts that I teach was in his right nostril. I plugged the other and had him blow. Luckily it came out fairly easy with a lot of snot. It would have been so much fun to have to take him to the emergency room like that, I'm sure they get enough cases like that.

Lizzie's tear duct

Lizzie went through a small surgery to unclog her right tear duct on Thursday. She was so good through the whole thing no crying what so ever. We went in at 6:50 a.m. and left at 8:00 a.m. I have to admit I was a little scared because she had to be asleep for it. She looks wonderful now. She hasnt teared since a couple of hours after the surgery.

Lizzie is ONE!!!

Happy Birthday Lizzie...
I can not believe how fast Lizzie has grown. She is pretty much running now especially when she is being chased by one of her big brothers. She has such a sweet and happy personality. She is smiling and laughing at everything except when it comes to food. She is a loud mouth when it comes to food; she can't get it in fast enough. She never wanted to eat baby food, she wants to be a big girl already. At church Lizzie was looking at Isaac and said "hi Isaat" while waving of course, she was so happy with herself that she started clapping. What a wonderful joy and blessing she has been.

Denver Downtown Aquarium

We had a lot of fun seeing the sharks and stingrays at the Aquarium. Ethan was even brave enough to touch the stingrays and Lizzie wanted to jump in the water with them. I attached a slideshow of the kids while we were in Denver. Since they thought it was a vacation they didn't want to go home.
