Birthday boys!

Ethan and Isaac are now 4!! They turned 4 on Tuesday the 17th, and we went to Denver since I had a doctor's appointment anyway. We went to the zoo and ate lunch and then we were going to go to the Children's museum but the boys wanted to come home and play with their new toys. We came home and ate a construction cake with Grandma Moogie and Grandma and Grandpa Child.

Last weekend my Aunt Janet came to Denver to visit. She got us a hotel room so that we could be down there for the weekend. On Friday we went to the zoo. And the next day we had a BBQ in the park.

birthday party fun

On the 11th Tammy and I joined the boys birthday party with Aleah whose birthday was on the 4th. We had a lunch picnic and cupcakes at a park in Loveland that has water squirting out of a great big windmill thing. It was way to windy that day so there was not that much running in the water. Despite all of that everyone enjoyed themselves. Aunt Deliese came with her kids; Mina, Billy, Krista, Jenny and David. We also invited Ethan and Isaac's friends Lexa Wright and Ayden Kelly. The picture is of Ethan, Ayden and Isaac; Lizzie was trying to grab the camera from me so it is a little blurry.

Pool Party

2 weeks ago our church had a pool party. They reserved a pool that had a huge water slide; the boys loved it!! They went down the slide with Derek about 6 times each and once each with Katie. We have water bugs in our mist!

Camping trip

Since I was going to have such a crazy week this week on Saturday we decided to go to the mountains with Derek's parents and nephews, Clay and Colton. It was so much fun and the boys loved it. They might have loved it too much because they learned how to pee in the bushes. When I had to go to the Dentist on Tuesday my neighbor Ger took care of them and took them to the park and Isaac decided to drop his pants and go right there at the park. Lizzie was so cute and she is such a ham for the camera now. She knows exactly how to smile just right.

Lizzie is 8 months old!!!

Lizzie is getting so big! She is about the same size as Julia who is 4 months older! She is trying to walk and crawl at the same time. She is now crawling by doing the army crawl. She can turn in circles on her tummy and scoot backwards. But most of the time she want to hold on to our fingers and walk around the family room. She has a walker/ ride on that she walks around the room with. She loves walking to mommy and daddy and dee dee our dog. She loves eating regular food like bread, cereal and apple sauce; and she pretty much hates baby food. She is still such a happy little girl.

Soccer

The boys are officially playing soccer! Derek is coaching them and I found out that it is never good to have dad coach your child's introduction to sports. They had so much fun and did so well during the practice at the beginning. The problem came when they had to play the actual game. They are very good at sharing and believe that everyone will share with them. Isaac had the ball at kick off and someone kicked it away from him so he fell on the ground and started to cry, because "it was my turn to score a goal." At the same time someone knocked Ethan over and he started to cry. Derek said to them I think you should sit out so that your teammates can play and they refused to leave the field, and they just lay there, because it was daddy. So I had to walk on the field drag Isaac off while holding Lizzie and Derek was dragging Ethan off. I tried to explain the game to them better, where our team always needs the ball so we can score, and we try to take it away from the other team. We are going to watch their older cousins play next week so hopefully they will understand better.

New Camera

I just updated my camera! The old one was starting to have horizontal lines in the pictures. The new one looks exactly the same as the old but it is 7 mp instead of 2 mp. We went to the zoo on Friday with my sister and mom and so of course I had to take pictures. So here are some pictures with the new camera.

Lizzie's check up

Tuesday Lizzie had her 6 month check up; even though she is almost 7 months now. She was a little sick and had fluid in her ear so Dr. Gunther is going to have me bring her in next week to give her shots. She is 17lbs (which is 55%), 37" tall (90%), and her head is 17 3/4" circumference (which is 95%). So she is long and skinny with a big head. "Thanks daddy!" Dr. Gunther thinks she is very smart because she focuses so well and gives so much attention to daddy, which most kids think daddy is chopped liver at this age. She is already daddy's little girl. She gets this amazingly cute grin on her face and her hand move all over the place almost like she is clapping when she sees mommy or daddy smiling at her. The one word to describe it is cheesed.

Lizzie has teeth

All of a sudden a couple of weeks ago Lizzie got her first tooth. Then 1 week later she got 2 more that broke through, and there is one more about to emerge. So now she has a toothy smile.
